Awasu 3.1.1.alpha2

IMPORTANT: This is an alpha release (what's this?). Some features may not be complete and there will probably be bugs!

You must be already running 3.1 or 3.1.1.alpha1.

To install:

• Read the release notes below first!
• Backup your Awasu installation directory and keep it, even if the alpha appears to work correctly.
• Unpack one (!) of the following zips on top of your existing installation:
  • Personal Edition
  • Advanced Edition
  • Professional Edition
• Run admin.exe to upgrade your database (this will be quick).
• If you had previously configured Awasu to update the search index during blackout times, or overnight (for performance reasons), it is recommended that you change it to use the new update algorithm:
  • Open the Program Options, go to the Archive Page, enable "Restrict search index updates" and choose "When channels are not updating".

• More optimizations to speed up the shutdown process.
• Optimized how long it takes to close the Program Options dialog and process any changes.
• Made the "update all channels" processing smarter about how it handles search channels.
• Added a menu item to re-open the last channel.
• Added a menu item to the Downloaded Files window's context menu to hide all files for a channel.
• Fixed a problem that was stopping links from being dragged in from Internet Explorer.
• Allowed the number of search results returned by $/search/query to be limited.
• Search results can now be filtered by their read/unread state.
  Add state:read or state:unread to the query string.
• Updated the $/channels/get API call to allow how the generated page should be encoded.
• Fixed a memory leak.
• Minor optimizations.
• Minor UI changes.
