Reading your channels

Now that you have subscribed to a few channels, the next thing you'll want to do is read them!

• Make sure the My Channels window is visible.
  The default key to do this is F4, or choose Control Center from the View menu.
• Click on a channel to open its window.
  If you can't see all your channels, a channel filter may be active that is hiding some of them. Set the droplist at the top of My Channels to "All" to show all your channels.
• The top part of each channel's window (the item pane) shows the stories currently available for that channel while the bottom part (the browser pane) is a normal web browser window that shows the stories themselves [1].
• Awasu provides a lot of keyboard shortcuts to let you get through your feeds quickly.

  F8, Shift-F8	Opens the next/previous story.
  F7	Hides/shows the item pane (to make more space for the browser pane).
  F9	Shows the channel's summary page.
  F11	Go into full-screen mode.

  Or if you prefer using the mouse, all of these commands are available from the menu and toolbars.
  

Awasu keeps track of each feed item and tags them with the following icons:

	New items that have been received since you last looked at the channel.
	Old items that you have not yet read.
	Items that have been modified by the publisher since they were first received [2].
	Items that are being flagged by a search agent.

Awasu also highlights channels in My Channels that have received new stories since you last looked at them () or still have unread items [3].
