Can't unzip Awasu 224beta - This archive is not a valid Zip

Post by pete4fox » Sat Dec 02, 2006 4:23 am

Just downloaded the Awasu 224 beta zip file and the two related zip files.
But, get message "This archive is not a valid Zip archive" when trying to unzip the 224 beta file. The two related files unzipped just fine.

Is there a problem with the 224 beta zip file? Or, have I missed something.
Thanks, Pete Fox, USA

The file seems fine so just try getting it again. If you know how to check it, the MD5 checksum is 21ef6fb07647178722718509833a4311.

Awasu 224 download fine now but program not responding after

Post by pete4fox » Sat Dec 02, 2006 5:45 am

I downloaded 224 beta Advanced again and got a much bigger file than my first try. The install seemed to go O.K. but the program hung when I clicked on the Install Channel Packs pop-up. Currently, Awasu is running but I can't open it.

I installed the big file, then unzipped the other two files over it. Then deleted c:\Programs\Awasu\Upgrade file. Awasu started up and is running per Task Manager. So, Awasu icon is on the task bar but will not maximize when I click it. What have I missed ? Thanks. Pete Fox, USA

Well I was a bit hasty. I rebooted and Awasu224 beta Advanced seems to be working fine now. I must have stumbled somewhere during the install process. So, I'll add some channels manually and give it a go. Thanks. Pete Fox, USA

The MD5 checksum was good but my version calculated upper case letters instead of lower case letters as shown in your reply. I'm not familiar with MD5 but assume the upper/lower case is not an issue.
Thanks. Pete Fox
