Integrate Channel Filter with new feed dialogue

Post by rlmrdl » Mon May 05, 2003 12:27 pm

I've always loved the speed and ease of adding a new channel but now that there are filters, it would be very user friendly to give us the option of assigning the new channel to the appropriate categories when loading it.

G'day Earl :-)

I thought about allowing users to do this but the more stuff you let people configure during the process of creating a new channel, the longer that process is going to take. You can't have it both ways! :-)

I agree that it would be nice though. I'm going to see how people take to filters and if they prove to be popular, then I'll make the change to allow channels to be assigned to categories during the Channel Wizard.

Hi Taka,

Point Taken. I was looking at all that blank space in the confirmation screen and thinking, wouldn't it be good to have the categories displayed there as check boxes, two or three extra clicks if I wanted or just ignore and confirm.

Often happy, never satisfied.

Cheers

Blank space is very Zen.

Very Japanese.
