First off, I'll introduce myself. I don't work for Awasu; I'm an Awasu user, like you
. I'm pretty knowledgeable but I'm not the official voice of Awasu.

Sounds like the menu bar needs to be reset. If the "Tools" menu was visible I'd instruct you to click it but it's not so look for a toolbar button that looks like a blue computer monitor with a gear
in front of it. When you hover your mouse over it, you should see a tooltip that says "Customize".To reset the menu bar:
- Click the "Customize" toolbar button
- Click the "Menu" tab at the top of the "Customize" dialog box
- Click the "Reset" button
- Click the "Yes" button in the confirmation dialog box
- Click the "Close" button

If you click and drag the Control Center by it's title bar... as you're dragging you should see some little boxes with arrowheads on them (top, bottom, left, right
). Drop the Control Center on one of the boxes and the Control Center will be "pinned" to that perimeter of the screen. Many of the other "Panes" in Awasu can be pinned too!
In my two years of using Awasu on a daily basis, it's been pretty rare that Awasu's user interface has gotten as messed up as you described; it might have happened once, I can't remember.

This is "outside" of Awasu but one free tool that I've been using is TiddlyWiki
. It's a "personal wiki", implemented as a single HTML page that saves on top of itself. It allows you to add tags to entries (a.k.a. Tiddlers
), contains search capabilities and will even output an RSS feed of your Tiddlers so that others can subscribe to your work.Awasu/TiddlyWiki integration
I've created an Awasu User tool that can search an existing TiddlyWiki for whatever text you have selected in Awasu:
Code: Select all
And in theory, one should be able to create an Awasu Send to Tool that will create a new Tiddler with the title of the current feed item; but for some reason if the title contains multiple words TiddlyWiki creates multiple Tiddlers, each with a single, different word from the feed item title. This is not an Awasu problem; it's a TiddlyWiki problem, or feature

I'm not sure but I think when you change the Global setting it will affect any new Channels that you create but it won't update your exiting Channels. For your existing Channels you may have to edit each one individually or maybe you can use the Awasu Channel Maintenance utility to mass update some selected or all existing Channels. I'll defer this question to the CAO (Chief Awasu Officer
