Item revisions

This is a two part problem really. Firstly every time Awasu refreshes the results of a Google News Search RSS feed it identifies every single item as updated. Secondly how do you switch of the item revsions. Example Google feed URL for Tutankhamun news search http://news.google.co.uk/news?svnum=10&a...

Sorry it took a while, I have finally got around to trying it. It gave an XML parse error and the feed contained this error log (rather than XML) The script caused an error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Python24\lib\site-packages\py2exe\boot_common.py", line 69, in ?...

Discovery Channel Feed Problem

The news feed from the Discovery Channel causes a problem for Awasu http://dsc.discovery.com/news/news.rss Awasu keeps thinking items on the feed are new items and adds another item to the channel rather than spotting it as an update to the previous item or an unchanged item which most of them are. ...

HTMl entity decoding in titles

Very minor error. Whilst Awasu decodes HTML entities (named and numeric) in item titles correctly for display in the Awasu item list window and within the browser pane, the notification baloons titles are not decoded. And yes I am aware that HTML entities in the titles may well breach the RSS standa...

I'd like the default behaviour to be configurable. Single click on the item would as expected open in the Awasu browser but at present double-click does exactly the same. I would like to be able to configure it so that double-click opens in the default browser set in Windows (IE, Firefox, etc...) Th...

What I'd like to see is Awasu do this by default... Rather than being in %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Program Files\Awasu\Users\%USERNAME%\ I would prefer them to be in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Awasu\ or %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Awasu\ Either of these two is where other feed readers I ha...

The site in question is m I have tried it on my home machine, where there is no proxy server getting in the way, and it works fine. I don't know PHP myself but coding up a simple HTTP GET request in Perl my $ua = LWP::UserAgent->new; my $page = $ua->request(HTTP::Request->new(GET => $url)...

But this happens even when the system is quiet? And the website can easily be pulled up in Internet Explorer.

Could it be a proxy error? Does the code detect and use the proxy server correctly?

Ok, switched feed to RSS 2.0 and added a unique guid element. No difference.

I guess I'll try changing the link element...
