I'm in a similar situation. I had to reinstall Windows, which means reinstalling Awasu (and everything else). My Awasu folder is still there (on a different drive), but obviously I've lost all the registry entries. What's the correct procedure? Leave the folder as is and install 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2...

Thanks for sending your installation through. I notice you have "Auto-detect an Internet connection" turned on. When I wrote that bit of code, it turned out to be a remarkably difficult thing to determine accurately. A giveaway that this is probably what's causing the problem is seeing the followin...

Automatic Updating Not Working
Hi, everyone. This has been a problem ever since I installed 2.0.3, but I haven't gotten around to reporting it until now. My feeds do not update automatically. Even though they are all set to update at least daily, I have to "Update now" to bring them up to date. Am I the only one seeing this?

I've been intending to post about this same problem for some time. I finally got around to it tonight, and discovered this thread. None of my channels are updating automatically. I have to do it manually, which works fine. I am running SP2, but I hadn't made the association, and I'm not sure there's...

Re: Awasu Is In Good Company
I am used to seeing lists of RSS readers which have Awasu at the bottom of a long list, if included at all. Aw, don't say that. It's actually not true - our choosing a name that starts with an A was no accident You do have a point. They don't always list alphabetically, however (as with the NPR exa...

Awasu Is In Good Company
I am used to seeing lists of RSS readers which have Awasu at the bottom of a long list, if included at all.
So I was pleased to see, on NPR's new RSS page, Awasu listed FIRST among just five "sample readers": Awasu, Bloglines, Amphetadesk, RSS Reader, and NetNewsWire.

Cool!
Blogger has added Atom syndication to their free accounts. Not that I have anything worth blogging about, but I set up a Blogger account a while ago just to experiment with. I just set up an atom feed and, using Taka's XSLT, I'm now reading it in Awasu!
This is fun stuff

Re: So, your Mum uses Awasu?
I've been reading for days and still not sure, but I was hooked after reading a thread on RSS at Chris' forum between Magic Speller (in search of an aggregator), t_muraoka (affiliated with Awasu) and others. Hi. Glad to see you made it here! What did I say on the forum? I don't think I'd tried Awas...

Exporting OPML
Hi. I want to export my channels into an OPML file. Sorry, but I'm lost trying to figure out how to to this. I think I have a report set up to do it, but can't see how to generate the report manually. Also, the only choice for an output file extension is HTML. I can, of course, just enter a name wit...

Re: My Awasu Review
The Channel tab in Tools|Options are the settings that new channels will get, a template if you like. Once a channel has been created, changes made in the Channel tab will not carry over to the new channel. For the settings that control which feed items get shown (all/unread only/new only) and the ...

Re: My Awasu Review
You might find Joel Spolsky's 's article on mental models and how they relate to software design interesting: m I would argue that when the user decides that s/he wants to look for some more channels, the thought process is 1) let's find some new channels 2) choose which ones look good and subscrib...
