Re: General thoughts
Filtering content wouldn't be difficult to do with an XSLT stylesheet, either. If anybody needs it (for example, if they're already using a plugin, for combining channels etc), I can take a look at it (though not for the next couple of weeks). I've been thinking of doing this for myself (to combine ...

Re: Bloglines Sync?
I understand there are issues with synchronizing, especially if the API offered is not so good. Nevertheless, even a very rudimentary synchronization with Bloglines would be really useful, at least to me. Here's the situation: I'm often at a location where I'm unable to use Awasu, so I've subscribed...

So it is. Its location is (IMO) not as convenient, but it works, so that's enough.

Re: REPLY TO AUTO UP+DOWN
Focus to the browser window: immediately after selecting a feed, pressing the "down" key twice seems usually to switch focus to the browser window. After that, PgUp and PgDn work there. Although I'd like to be able to manually shift focus between Awasu windows with Ctrl+Tab (since plain Tab is alrea...

I have no problem with that feed.
I'm at the moment using 2.1 Professional, but I don't think that should matter.

Possible cause/solution
like most software, Awasu installation can degrade over time, esepcially if you've been installing lots of alphas/betas, fiddling with config files etc. I think this might be the reason; I got some weird error message about Awasu not being able to read a channel report. So, I deleted everything und...

Re: Explain how to organize without a tree of folders/feeds?
So how do you organized many feeds with Awasu? Personally, I've gradually went from trying to organize the feeds to just mainly using a filter that shows only the feeds with unread items in them. And then I just read them. Also, I've set up less important feeds to update less often, so they don't a...

Didn't hang, at least during the first sync.
It seems you have an idea what was causing the problem?
Now to go through the hundred-odd feeds that re-appeared as unread...

Synchronization Hangs - 2.1 Professional
I'm syncing Awasu 2.1 Professional between two computers, and more often than not, Awasu hangs while loading the sync data. I'm running the synchronization manually, from a local file. Awasu suspends channel updates and starts synchronizing, but then reads a few channels and just freezes. After I've...

Re: WHY SWITCH
What would be any reasons to buy the Awa.,since I don't fool with plug ins, etc? To have a quality application that runs smoothly and does its job very well. And to be ready for the future, when a lot of feeds have become indispensabe, and you find you will want to "fool with plug ins, etc." after a...

Re: Can awasu do this?
I am so not the person to be asking about XSLT But given that this feature will be implemented natively in Awasu very soon, a work-around such as having an XSLT for each search you want to do is probably OK. In XSLT, you can give parameters to the transformation. What I meant was, can Awasu give th...

Re: Can awasu do this?
Download various RSS feeds, pull out the news items that contain certain keywords and combine these items into one new feed. Can you give parameters to the XSL transformations? (This question is to Taka, not the person who asked the original question.) I don't think so. This (the task described abo...

Wow!

Ok, I'll just try to remember to make all my backup skripts back up the Awasu directories, too. Thanks again.

Change feed URL
Is there any way to change a feed's URL? I can't find one. If there's a configuration file that can be edited with a text editor, that would be ok, too, but it's a drag to delete the changed feeds and set them up again when only the URL has changed.

Re: "Smart Menus" are freaking annoying
*how do you* turn off those darn things in Windows and Office anyway? Sorry about the off-topic post, but I consider getting rid of the "stupid menus" essential to ones mental health and hope you don't mind the digression too much. Windows XP: Right-click on "Start", Properties, Start Menu, Classic...
