Verrry interesting. I found a moment to play around with the API and was able to launch a channel report which ftpd an xml file to a remote site. Then of course I was able access it in the browser, as well as import it into Code Orange. So, so far so good. This of course could be done with a timer b...

... delayed reaction. Hey Kev, I didn't want you and Taka to be the only ones that get to be impressed with themselves. I'll tell you what though, writing your own xml/rss/atom/html parser isn't fun.

Wow! Listening to you two brainstorming is always an amazing, entertaining, and often mind boggling event. Some of the features you are adding, plan to add, and ponder about adding to Awasu are very interesting and cool. My needs and what we are doing at Leading Edge Software are very relevant to wh...

When we first started developing Code Orange we looked at many html editors to model our own html editor after. Pagebreeze http://www.pagebreeze.com/download.htm was one of the better ones and it's free. Of course when Code Orange is completed we hope you'll want to use it as it is an Html Editor, a...

OK, but is having channels get update errors really a problem? In many cases probably not so much, but it is a bit irritating to know that your pc being used for something that should be canceled. Being irritated with software isn't usually a good thing. But you are right I guess I can always just ...

They can And it's much nicer since it's template-driven. Hmmm. I guess I will have to look into it again. Maybe I just found the quickest solution to my problem. But it sounds like you might not need it if you configure your reports to send out the emails instead of getting channels to do it. I sta...

Ability to cancel Updates

While I'm being a pain in the *** I'll continue on... Or maybe I'm just using some time while I have some. I have the need to cancel updates and think that it would be good feature to add some day. Not super important but seeing how I was a GUI guru for 15+ years I thought I would continue to offer ...

Update Channels in Selected Directory Only

This was discussed under a different topic, so I'm bringing here so it might get put on a list of possible new features. I would like to be able to select a directory/folder and only update the channels in that directory. When asked why this is needed I had a few reasons and here is yet another. I u...

I've thought about this but here's the reasoning behind why things are the way they are. There's no such thing as a "disabled" channel, what you're referring to is a channel that has been configured to not update automatically at regular intervals. Hence, when you do an "update all c...

Mate, we do things a bit differently in Australia. I write the code while I'm drunk, then if I can understand it in the morning, it passes. lol, that's pretty close to the same thing. You're drunk, I'm hung over, you're feeling good, I'm feeling miserable. Hmmm. I guess we are backwards. A lot of p...

The help link only works if you have already downloaded the CHM and generally speaking, if you need to look in the documentation to figure out how something works, there's something wrong with your UI and/or implementation. I remember when I use to write front ends to Client/Server apps for compani...

Hmmm. I wasn't notified of replies (via email) so I haven't checked in for a couple of days so sorry for my delayed response. I'm going digest all the replies over the weekend as time allows and then decide which way to go with it. But here's a couple of responses to the easy stuff. There's no such ...
